Paul and Silas told the worried Jailer, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household." Acts 16.31

When a fortune telling slave girl who had a spirit, by which she predicted future was saved from the torture of evil spirits, she testified about Paul and Silas, stating, "these men are servants of the Most High God." They took sympathy on the slave girl and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her. When the owners of slave girl realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the market place to face the authorities. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, "Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!"

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, Sirs, What must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household."…"then immediately he and all his family were baptized."

Dear Brother/sister,

Are you facing any of these problems, such as torture by evil spirits? Insecure, as the jailer felt? Craving for salvation? Flogged for witnessing for Lord Jesus? Bound with fetters of chains?

Sing songs and praises to our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise His name. Glorify His name. He is the Lord. He is the beginning and the end. He is the way, the Truth, and the light. No one can enter the kingdom of God, unless one believes in Jesus Christ, unless one accepts Jesus as one’s personal savior; and unless one confesses one’s sins to Him.

Please pray with me as follows:

O Lord my God heavenly Father, the one and only one God, I confess my sins to You, I accept Jesus Christ, Your only Son, as my personal savior, I believe in You. I acknowledge You as my Lord. I pray in Jesus name. Amen. If you have prayed this prayer sincerely, you are a born again child. You will enter the Kingdom of God. Your heart’s desires, if they are genuine, will be fulfilled. You will be healed. You will be blessed. This is a promise in the name of the Almighty God, through His Son Jesus Christ.
