IN HIS HANDS
Psalm 95, verses 4 and 5, read, "In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land." God made heaven and the host therein; God made earth and all that is on it; God made seas and all that is in them, and thus we see everything is was made by Him and everything is under His control. We find that extremely reassuring. After all, if God is in control, that means we are not left alone on any dangerous point. God is carefully maneuvering every event and circumstance. His hands carefully hold all things together. When God takes care of us, we encounter no danger. He sustains. Let us find solace in the following word. Psalm 3:5-6, he says: "I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around." The Psalmist acknowledges the almighty God’s help. God is the source that provided all his needs; yes! the Lord God Himself. Do we have hesitation in realizing that it is God who sustains us day and night? Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:19, "And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." I can boldly say that my God did supply all my needs until this day and He will supply all my future needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I say this because he sustains me IN HIS HANDS. |
