JESUS LOVES YOU  CONFESS YOUR SINS TO HIM
DARKNESS VS. LIGHT

Darkness is absence of light.  In the beginnng Chappter of the Bible, that is Genesis 1st chapter vs. 2,  we read that the darkness prevailed on the earth.  Then God said, "Let there be light": and there was light. (vs.3). There is an important recorde in Vs.4.  God saw that the light was good and he separated light from darkness.  The importance of seperating light from darkness can be felt here.  No body likes darkness. The seriousness of being in darkness can be felt when there is power outage, or when we are forced to be in dark place where there is no light, nor electricity.  The seriousness of the darkness is known to the blind.  All sorts of sins are committed in darkness.  But in the light everything is crystal clear.   Our sins are borne by Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross of Calvary, and during that period, eventhough it was an evening hour when there should be light the whole universe is brought under darkness, because Jesus was bearing the sins of everyone of us.  He took upon himself, our infirmitites, sins, and was suffering upon the cross.  The "Father" in heaven had leave the "Son"'s hand and at that time the darkness took control of everything upon the face of the earth.  It was the sixth hour in the day and from then onward until the ninth hour of the day, when Jesus was hung upon that cross there was darkness.  In the midst of light darkness prevailed.  This is the only time in the history of this universe that darkness took control over light and it prevailed right in the midst of the light.  The whole universe is brought under darkness. Surprisingly, it was neigther an eclipse nor the sunset that usually sets in at the evening, but the "Father" in heaven could not see the "Son".

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

It was indeed unusual. During day light hours, a severe darkness brought about by God the father from heaven upon this earth, and more of that on Jesus Christ, His one and only son.

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20  This verse is intended as warning to every one, in all ages. It is to warn of the sins, which are destructive to every one and to communities as well, exposing every one God’s wrath and His holy and righteous judgments. The righteous Lord will cut in sunder the cords of the wicked.  And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof Isaiah 5:30

Darkness signifies judgment.

"And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night." Exodus 14:20  Darkness was one of the plagues of Egypt. Darkness accompanied with fear, sin, and judgment. It is opposed to luster and honor. Darkness is opposed to wisdom; it is associated with confusion, folly, vexation of Spirit, and calamities.  An angel shone light towards Israelites and darkness to Pharaoh and his army when Israelites were just about to cross Red Sea. It was the judgment that Pharaoh and him army were about to face while the children of God were about to cross the great river.

"The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining." Joel 3:15 Constellation and the sun will be darkened at the second coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. He is the exact representation of God the father Himself. He was there before the creation of this world, and He will be there at the end of this world also. There was none like Him before and there will none like Him in future.  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matt. 27:46  It is a direct quote from Psalm 22:1. Many years ago David prophesied the death of Jesus Christ

The "Father" saw Jesus, His one and only incarnated Son, with the sin of the world on his shoulders, and suffering to redeem them. The Holy one of Israel could not bear the "Son" bearing upon himself the sin of the world. It was at that time that God the father brought about severest darkness on the face of the earth; it was at that time, Jesus was passing through the darkness; the judgment. The judgment you and I had to face was on Him. God the father, the Holy God could not see the sin, so He had to leave His son’s hand. It is at this time that Jesus Christ cries out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” It is at this time the "Father" became God for Jesus. It is at this time, that  the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ were separated from each other. Oh! It is that time that Jesus lost the love of the Father, just because He loved you and me.  Father had to turn away His face from the Son. Oh! It was then, that the darkness, which no one ever saw before came upon Jesus. Jesus was  bearing your sins and mine althoug he was not a sinner. God punished the sin upon the cross and, therefore, there is no condemnation for those who believe in him and confess his/her sins to him. The blood of Jesus Christ was shed on the cross, so that your sins and mine could be cleansed in it.  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Thess. 5:5

It appears pathetic when we think of how our  redeemer was dragging the cross  to Golgotha, but then if it did not happen our destiny would have been pathetic.  The Savior of the world took upon Himself your sins and my sins, and was hung on the cross of Calvary and he was numbered among the transgressors, when two criminals hung on either side. The redeemer of the world, the Savior of the world, became sin for your sake and my sake. As if that was not enough a crown of thorns was platted on his head, people spat on His face and even stabbed Him. Large nails were run through his palms and feet on to the cross and huge amount of blood was shed. The blood, the life line of a person was shed so as to cleanse your sins and mine. He was mocked as King of kings; indeed He was King of kings, but the way they treated Him was unbearable. Who was this person? Yes! He is none other than Jesus, yes! Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus, who is the second person in Trinity, became human for your sake and mine and came into this world to die for our sake, so that we may receive salvation. He did not lie just there in the grave yard like a dead man. He was triumphant over death and rose from the dead, and ascended in to heaven. He is living God.

So, now we say boldly, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].” Eph. 5:11

The salvation is available free of cost, for all those who accept Him as savior, confessing his/her sins to Him.

And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain. Revelation 16:10

When the fifth angel poured out his vial, as seen in vision, by John, the whole kingdom of the Anti-Christ was full of darkness and distress. The city which was the seat applauded policies, the source of all their learning, and all their knowledge, and all their pomp and pleasure, now becomes a source of darkness, and pain, and anguish.

God bless you
