Webster dictionary describes “Atheism” as Ungodliness, wickedness, a disbelief in the existence of deity, the doctrine that there is no deity. Basically, it is the unbelief in any religion that leads a person to practice atheism. An atheist is usually one who has not heard of any religion, or one who is highly educated and thinks his education is more than the knowledge of Godliness, or one who is disappointed on some aspect in one’s life, or dejected in one’s life and does not find any hope. It is the immature brain, and ignorance or pride of having great deal of education that leads one to practice atheism Bible says, “The fool has said, there is no God". The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:1 The Hebrew word rendered "fool" in Psalms denotes one who is morally deficient. This whole chapter is repeated as Psalm 53. This shows how emphatic God is in saying that the one who says there is no God is a fool. It is the scientific realities that bring about confusion in the minds of those who practice atheism.
I replied to him that if I were to climb on the ladder and jump to prove that God sustains me, it is nothing but testing God; it is to be remembered that God can not contradict his own laws. God said "Let there be light: and there was light.", "Let the waters under heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth." And “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it..." If that be the case why would He contradict His own creation and His own words? No He would not! If God did not give power to earth to have what we call "Center of gravity" we would not have been living on earth. How do I not fall then if I climb a ladder and then try to prove God, whether or not He would sustain me? Is it not tantamount to ordering God to “contradict your own laws and theories in order to sustain me?” I wonder how I would walk on earth, and obey my God, if only my lifted foot does not come down back on to this earth so that I may walk further. Yea! Place me on Mars or some other planet and see that if I jump from the top of a ladder I would fall and injure myself. It is evident that I would not fall and get injured because there is no "Center of Gravity" there. Yes, then I would jump from ladder and then accredit my God there too.

In fact God sustains His children when they are in danger. I have experienced this in my life. An unforeseen might and force saved me from severe dangers many a time. When Jesus calmed down the storm in the Sea He did not contradict His own laws but applied super power over the laws of the nature in order to control the storm. If such a situation arises and it warrants Him to save His children He will not go back, rather He will certainly apply such greater laws that may be required in order to undermine the laws of the nature. But if we deliberately jump from the top of a ladder in order to prove God, it is tantamount to testing God and His power. He will not yield to such testing and become our toy in order to prove Himself right. When Neil Armstrong was on the moon he was virtually flying. He was unable to walk on the moon. If life can persist there we would have all gone there, perhaps! The laws of nature came in to force with the creation of the world and were already there even before scientists have invented them. Thy have just discovered the hidden truths and mysteries of God to certain extent. There is yet great deal for man to discover. Darwin’s theory of evolution has proved to be wrong. It is ridiculous to think that man evolved from Ape. There are mysteries and realities, which man could not fathom until now. Take a look at the structure of our own bodies and the intricate and complex functioning of the nervous system for example. Man could not find a cure for brain damage until now. Nervous system is so great that if all the nerves are straightened and stretched to form a straight line, they would run in to several miles.
But then if we look towards the sky in the night to watch the twinkling lights beaming out from the stars, and meditate on the ONE who created them, who would say that there is no God. How blessed are we that we can view these STARS and wonderful galaxy from any part of the world, not just from the over bridge of an Interstate Highway. Certainly atheists, fools, wicked, ungodly will say that there is no God! Pity on them!! Where would they go if God does not help them? They would rather be groping in darkness."Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". John 14:6 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". John 3:3
