Believe in Jesus; you and your household will be saved.
The living God says:
"So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

The Calling of Moses

Moses hesitates to be a leader in spite of God asking him to be so

Even though Moses had direct conversation with God, who spoke to him from the burning bush, yet Moses was reluctant to take the leadership over Israelites and deliver them from the bondage of slavery under Pharaoh, because he thought he was not fit to do that duty. God assured Moses that he will be with him when he stands before Pharaoh and demands the release of Israelites, and that his presence before Pharaoh is a token of God’s help. Psalmist says in Psalms 71:16 “I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only”. When God is with us, who can be against us? We can be confident that when God is with us we can do all things through him, who strengthens us. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. Philippians 4:13. In spite of God assuring him that he will be with him, Moses had questions to God as to how would Israelites believe him that he was sent by God? God tells him his name and that wonderful name has gone on record for ever and ever with great meaning. It is an everlasting name that was, that is, that will be. God said to Moses, “I AM, THAT I AM”. (Exodus 3:14).

What a great meaning that name has, and it is the name above all names. The name is always is in present tense. :”I AM THAT I AM” God is ever present and ever helpful to us. He tells Moses that when he stands before Israelites he should tell them that “I AM” has sent him to them. It is very hard for a natural man to understand the meaning of this name. God reveals his mysteries and about himself only to those who seek him diligently.

1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. The word, ‘natural’ here means the unregenerate condition of man, who has no Spiritual knowledge, nor is controlled by the “Spirit of God”. Those who are governed by worldly passions and desires are influenced by their own natural instincts that as a result mar their knowledge of the facts related to God and heaven. God’s name ‘I AM THAT I AM’ has great significance in Christian’s life.

In addition to revelation God made to Moses about himself and his name, God also tells Moses to tell Israelites when he speaks to them, that the LORD God of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has sent him to deliver. It was like carrying with him great authority in order to convince the children of Israel of the providence of God in his plan of redemption of his children from the sufferings. Moses was asked to name the name of God, and the God of their fathers, and the assurance was in those names that there will be deliverance.

God says, Israelites will surely believe and come in to the wilderness away from the place of idols in Egypt and worship God. The ordeal of the deliverance from the slavery under Pharaoh would not be easy one as God said, but then God would deal with Pharaoh severely until he withstood the last plague of the ten plagues God was about to bring to him and his people for the sufferings he and his people inflicted on the children of God. Great wonders were wrought by God so as to make them believe that he was the God of gods. God made his children to find mercy in the sight of Egyptians, who gave them raiment, jewels as it was fitting for Israelites to borrow from them inasmuch as they were not rightly paid their wages in their time as slaves under Pharaoh.
